King Cake Cocktail Syrup | Cocktail & Sons (8oz)
Cocktail & Sons King Cake syrup is our Carnival seasonal, available only from Epiphany (January 6) to Mardi Gras day. A blend of cinnamon, pecan, and lemon for a liquid version of our famous Carnival treat, the King Cake. We've even included a baby so when you give it as a present, the recipient owes you the next drink! We like it with vodka, whiskies, and rum.

Lundi Gras
Named after the day before Mardi Gras, this riff on the classic breakfast milk punch will set you up for whatever your day has in store.
- 2 oz bourbon
- 1 oz milk (2% or coconut recommended)
- .5 oz Cocktail & Sons King Cake
- 4 drops almond extract (optional)
- 4 dashes aromatic bitters (optional)
Add all ingredients to a cocktail shaker. Top with ice and shake briskly for 5-10 seconds. Strain over fresh ice into a rocks glass. Garnish with grated cinnamon.
Zombie
Our friend Matt Pietrek, aka the Cocktail Wonk and author of Minimalist Tiki, created this one to get through his leftover King Cake syrup (as if that's a thing). He started with Jeff "Beachbum" Berry's 2007 Zombie, swapping out our King Cake syrup for the cinnamon.
- .75 oz lime juice
- 1 oz white grapefruit juice
- .5 oz Cocktail & Sons King Cake
- .5 oz Bacardi 151 rum
- 1 oz dark Jamaican rum
- Sliced fruit and mint for garnish
Shake all ingredients well with ice cubes. Strain into a highball glass filled with ice. Garnish with fruit and a mint sprig.
